It is recommended that any difference in the levelling of your floors of more than 15mm should be fixed before installing cabinets. Next, take proportions of all outlets, pipes, mains and other inputs and their distances from surrounding edges and/or surfaces. These are the most problematic to change or move later on, so you need their measurements in order to build around them.

Lastly, pay particular attention to door installation. Take careful measurements of the centres between all hinge holes on your doors as well as the bottom of each door to the centre of the bottom hinge. Finally, take the measurements and configuration of the door itself and all of its hinges.
