The reasons a Laminate Hardwood Floor is a good choice for family homes is because it offers good value for money attractive surfaces for rooms, and what’s more, it is better for our health than carpets that give refuge to bugs and muck. Laminate hardwood floors are also highly resistant to sunlight, and they also never need to be treated, protected, or maintained with floor wax or polish of any kind. Sound too good to be true? Well not quiet. As attractive as these floor options are in DIY home improvement projects, they’re not actually real wood. They might look woody and feel nice under foot, but if you were to compare a laminate surface next to a real hardwood floor, then the difference in look and feel becomes quite apparent. Those who buy laminate are those who either don’t want, or can’t afford the cost of real hardwood floors, or they are more environmentally friendly and are genuinely thinking about saving trees. They may also convince themselves that it’s not possible to tell the difference between the two, but that’s just wishful thinking. That said, many men and women are perfectly happy with their low maintenance easy-to-clean laminate surfaces, and just because they’re a far cry from the real McCoy, that doesn’t mean they don’t look great.
