Slapping on a patch, takes away the physical craving so that they don’t go bonkers for the duration of the trip without a ciggie. How ironic is this! They have proved to themselves that patches work by taking away the physical side effects of withdrawal, yet the moment they reach the destination, off come the patches, and into the mouth goes the tobacco! Education pamphlets in doctor’s waiting rooms sever health warnings with gruesome images on packets of tobacco, and all the scary stats online about the dangers of smoking, still see folks carry on as if they have some kind of self destruction button on their person!
