Finding Travel Deals 101

Ask the advice of any airline or travel agency and they will all tell you the same regarding shopping for travel deals. That advice is the same today as it has always been and that is it’s the early bird that catches the worm. This is why the industry often uses the term ‘early bird bargains’ when fist putting package deals or special air fares onto the marketplace.

It used to be the case that the best air fare deals where available in two options. The first was to book early and secure those give-away seats, ant the second, less flexible option was the last minute booking. This last minute opportunity goes for package tour holidays as well as individual air fares. The reason the last minute bargains come up is either because someone or a group of people have cancelled at the eleventh-hour for whatever reason, or the airline or tour operator has failed to sell all the availability thus resulting in a last-ditch attempt to get something, rather than nothing, for their lost revenue.

Either or, there are still bargains to be had, and the further ahead you can book, or having that flexibility to book at the last minute, are really the only 2 options available for bargain travellers. The internet or teletext services are by far the best resources for digging out your travel deals.
